Personalized Writings – some heartfelt thoughts…

Mystics say that 'love' is the stuff our souls are made of.

A moment of true love can bring tears to our eyes and flutter in our hearts. Such moments are eternal. They give purpose to our very existence on earth. We wonder sometimes 'Why am I here?', 'Where did I come from?' and 'What is my purpose now that I am here?'

The feeling of love puts to rest these questions – that whatever reason for which I came onto this blue-green marble floating in the abyss of space, it is a feeling worth living for and worth dying for – again and again.

The emotions associated with love spring from our souls. Within us, lies the fountainhead of the most beautiful inexpressible feelings. These beautiful feelings rush forth in moments of love for others and can only be described in one word – ecstasy.

So, when I feel like expressing my love to a close friend, my mom, dad, brother, sister, grandma or grandpa – we come across a common hurdle. Words fall short. Ah ! If only I could say it better, one feels within. Only if I could put together my feelings into the apt words so that my dear one feels what I feel..

Feelings need words in order to be conveyed. Words, after all are potent. They carry power which can pierce the psyche of human beings. They can cut the veil of routine and convey the essence of our feelings. They can communicate how you exactly feel if framed together in right phrases and sentences. Words can create moments which can last forever. They can bring a smile on your loved one's face along with happy tears. They can trigger an avalanche of memories and swell one up. They outlive one's life. Words of care and love remain etched in eternity.

We, as humans are all the same. That is our common ground to connect with each other, feel for each other. One fine day, I thought – if I can put into words what others feel, especially love more than anything else – how wonderful would that be? I would help someone connect with the other a little more, for love is so infinite that the more it brings hearts together, there is still room for so much more.   

So, I began writing through Etsy. I had three requests in the first 10 days. The first – was from Suzanne who wanted to wish Niekie, her best friend, a very happy birthday and wondered if I could write a poem for her. The second was for Amy who wanted to announce her pregnancy and due date to her near ones. There was a third request from Debbie who wanted a personalized bereavement speech for her grandmother. I was glad I could make them happy with my writings.

In such a short span, I am realizing the power to connect with people I don't know but who share the same humanity like we all do. I hope I keep writing and fulfilling needs to express people's feelings during special occasions – birthdays, baby announcements, bereavement, expressing love, friendship, asking someone out, making a proposal, saying I Love You, customized wedding vows, congratulatory message or customized speech for the best man or maid of honor for a wedding.

Hope to be of good service in such a noble endeavor. I feel blessed J
